The founding fathers of the Zionist regime tried to expand the circle of their friends and allies by providing their own security through proposing the doctrine of peripheral unity. according to this, The Zionist regime's communication with the Iraqi Kurds can be traced back to its artificiality, lack of strategic depth, being in the circle of hostile countries, lack of international and regional legitimacy, and consequently, a strong sense of insecurity in Tel Aviv which the regime had faced since its inception. The issue that this article intends to explain is "What are the characteristics of the Zionist regime's relations with the Iraqi Kurdistan region and what effects these relations have on the national security of the Iran?" The hypothesis put forward is that the Zionist regime in the form of the doctrine of peripheral unity tried to fill the vacuum of its political and security legitimacy to some extent by establishing and developing relations with the Iraqi Kurdistan region. In this line, by being present in the Iraqi Kurdistan region and being close to the western frontiers of the Iran, the Zionist regime will have a negative effect on Iran's national security. This essay uses a qualitative method along with a descriptive/analytical approach. Accordingly, the present study tries to explain the historical roots of relations, the current and future dimensions in the political, economic, security and cultural fields in the form of the doctrine of peripheral unity and its subsequent impact on the security of the Iran.
